Overview
Enjoy this 4-hour tour to the Tijuca Forest. Admire the green beauty of the Tijuca National Park. Breath the fresh air, away from the crowd. Starting with the hotel pickup, we head to the Tijuca National Park. Located in the middle of the Rio de Janeiro city, the Tijuca National Park was created in 1861 to reforest an area once destroyed by sugarcane and coffee plantations. The area is home to different small species of animals, such as squirrels, monkeys, porcupines, foxes and armadillos. Plus, a million different butterflies, birds, and reptiles. Have a beautiful overlook of Rio de Janeiro’s southern side from the Vista Chinesa. Pass the Taunay waterfall, which tumbles over rugged rock and faces into a calm pool below. Stop by the nearby Mayrink Chapel built in 1860 and known for its pink structure. At the end of the tour, you are taken back to your hotel. Or may stay by yourself to enjoy these places a little bit more. We do this tour twice a day: In the morning or in the afternoon. The tour itinerary may change its order, but the highlights remain.
Tour guide, roundtrip transfer, entrance to Tijuca National Park included.
