Overview
Explore the Atlantic Forest by visiting the Christ the Redeemer and the Tijuca Forest. Meet the tour guide at your hotel lobby for this 4-hour tour. Located in the middle of the Rio de Janeiro city, the Tijuca National Park was created in 1861 to reforest an area once destroyed by sugarcane and coffee plantations. The area is home to different small species of animals, such as squirrels, monkeys, porcupines, foxes and armadillos. Plus, a million different butterflies, birds, and reptiles. Have a beautiful overlook of Rio de Janeiro’s southern side from the Vista Chinesa. Pass the Taunay waterfall, which tumbles over rugged rock and faces into a calm pool below. Stop by the nearby Mayrink Chapel built in 1860 and known for its pink structure. Then, we visit the Christ the Redeemer. By minivan, crossing through the Atlantic Forest, we get to the top of the Corcovado hill. We have sweeping views of our city. With arms wide open to the Guanabara Bay, the statue of the Christ the Redeemer is a work of art that cannot be compared to anything else. Return to your hotel with theses beautiful images in your head. We offer this tour twice a day: In the morning or in the afternooon. You may take the Corcovado Train instead of the minivan for an additional price. The tour itinerary may change its order, but the highlights remain.
Tour guide, roundtrip transfer, tickets to the Christ the Redeemer by minivan and entrance to Tijuca National Park included.
