Overview
Take a full day trip to Petrópolis and discover the best places in the city. We start with an early pick up at your hotel in Rio de Janeiro. Our trip takes approximately 2 hours to Petrópolis. We will stop on the road at Casa do Alemão. Casa do Alemão is a traditional delicatessen that sells European-inspired snacks. Take the time to stretch your legs, go to the bathroom and buy a snack. We will stop at Quitandinha. Quitandinha is an old casino that used to hold parties for high society in Rio. Currently, it is used for exclusive private parties. We will take beautiful pictures in the immense garden and admire its beautiful architecture. We continue the tour around the city. Petrópolis is known for being the summer place of the Brazilian Imperial Family. The city is home to a cultural collection of extreme importance for our country. In the Imperial Museum you can enjoy all the furniture, artwork, clothing, jewelry and accessories used by the Imperial Family. After the visit to the Imperial Museum, we continue to the Crystal Palace, the Cathedral of Saint Peter, the home of Santos Dumont (entrance not included) and the clock in Jardim das Flores. Along the tour, we will stop for lunch (optional). In the afternoon, we will have a tasting at Bohemia Brewery (optional). Those who do not want to visit the Bohemia Brewery, can use their free time to shop around the city. Petrópolis has a street with many stores that sell clothes at good prices. At the end of the tour, we return to Rio de Janeiro. Choose from three options: the simple tour; the tour with buffet lunch, or the complete tour with buffet lunch and visit to Bohemia Brewery.
