Christ the Redeemer and Rio de Janeiro Half-Day City Tour

Overview

Embark on this half-day tour of Rio de Janeiro with a tour guide. It is almost 5 hours of visiting the main landmarks and highlights of the city. Pick up from your hotel in the morning. We take you by minivan to visit the Corcovado mountain and the Christ the Redeemer statue. We took the minivan up the Paineiras route. The 20 minute drive to the base of the statue takes you through the Tijuca Forest and gives you a preview of the views we will see soon after. The statue is 710 meters high, which gives you a panoramic view of the city. We continue on and stop at the Metropolitan Cathedral and the traditional Escadaria Selarón. Later we stopped at the Sambódromo and the Maracanã Stadium to take some pictures outside. Around lunchtime, we take you back to your hotel.
