Overview

One of the best ways to understand the soul and the way of life of the Brazilians is through their food. And there is no better way to understand them than to have a real feijoada. The world feijoada comes from the word “feijão” which is Portuguese for “beans”. It is a comfort food dish that many people prepare at home. It is one of the most typical dishes in the country. It consists of a black bean stew with hearty sausages and sundried beef, served with rice, collard greens, cassava (manioc) flour and orange slices. It is served throughout the country and there are many variations in each city. On this tour, you get a chance to taste the carioca version of the Feijoada. Starting with hotel pickup, we take you to a place to taste the Feijoada from Rio de Janeiro. The tour guide tells you stories about the origin of the dish. After tasting the feijoada, we take you back to your hotel. Tour guide, roundtrip transfer and the feijoada included (drinks and desserts not included).
