Overview
Embark on this full-day tour of Rio de Janeiro with a tour guide. It is almost 8 hours of visiting the main landmarks and highlights of the city. Pick up from your hotel in the morning. We take you by minivan to visit the Corcovado mountain and the Christ the Redeemer statue. We took the minivan up the Paineiras route. The 20 minute drive to the base of the statue takes you through the Tijuca Forest and gives you a preview of the views we will see. The statue is 710 meters high, which gives you a panoramic view of the city. Afterwards we visit the Sugar Loaf Mountain. The cable car ride to the top of the hill is done in 2 stages: boarding at Morro da Urca and then from Morro da Urca to the top of Sugar Loaf. Our tour also includes a stop for a buffet lunch to recharge our batteries and a full city tour. We continue on and stop at the Metropolitan Cathedral and the traditional Escadaria Selarón. After that we stop at the Sambódromo and the Maracanã Stadium to take some pictures outside. At the end of the day, we take you back to your hotel.
