Overview
The Gávea Rock is the largest rock close to the seashore in the world. Its name comes from the resemblance to the basket of a mast topsail (gávea in portuguese) that was very traditional in portuguese boats. We pick you up at the hotel in the morning to take you to the beginning of the walk. The hiking is intense and long, ideal for those who are used to radical sports. The most critical point is the Carrasqueira, a steep stone that you need to use your hands and feet in order to climb it. Tour guide and roundtrip transfer included.
