Overview
Located on the top of a hill, the Santa Teresa neighborhood is famous for being home to several artists. Sometimes, they open their doors and allow you to come inside and have a look at their work. This half-day tour is perfect for those who enjoy history, culture and wish to visit the bucolic neighborhood. We can walk through the streets, see the little shops and buy one of a kind and authentic arts craft. We can have a look at the small bars and restaurants and stop by for a drink. You can admire the wonderful mansions which date back to the 20th century and be amazed at its history. The neighborhood still has the tram which was built back in 1897. We will go to the Parque das Ruínas to have a spectacular view of downtown Rio and check on the exhibitions they have inside. Former home to a preeminent female art supporter, Laurinda Santos Lobo, the Parque das Ruínas is now a cultural center that keeps her legacy of supporting artists everywhere. We do this tour twice a day: In the morning or in the afternooon.
Tour guide and roundtrip transfer included.
