Overview
Get to understand Brazilian history and the importance of coffee in this unique tour. We take you to an authentic farm that has maintained most of its structure as it was back in the colonial times. We leave Rio de Janeiro city and head to a region known as the Coffee Valley. It takes about 2 hours to get there, but it is worth it. The Coffee Valley takes you back to the past with its country coffee farms dating as far back as the nineteenth century. We are welcomed by tour guides that are eager to share all their knowledge about that era. We learn about the Brazilian Colonial and Imperial Eras, see all the stages of coffee producing and coffee making, understand more about the history of coffee and get a chance to taste the authentic Brazilian coffee. We visit the Main House with its original furniture, the Slavery Memorial, the Coffee Museum, and the coffee plantations. You can also buy it and bring some of it home. We visit one of two famous Farms in the Coffee Valley. We confirm which one we visit on the day of the tour.
Tour guide, tickets to the Coffee Farm and roundtrip transfer included.
